Convention at Seven Springs
Thursday night through Saturday afternoon I was at Seven Springs for Convention. It was such a great opportunity and I'm glad I was able to go. I went to many different sessions while I was there and learned a lot of valuable information that will help me in the future. I especially liked the keynote speaker, Mr. Slaughterback. His speech was very motivational and inspiring. He also made it fun having us dance and sing a song with him. Every Physical Education student should go to Convention if they have the chance. Going and learning from other professionals, connecting with them, and sharing ideas is the best way to build success in your future. Even though I am mentally and physically exhausted from the trip and going non-stop all day, I am grateful that I got the opportunity to go.

Getting ready for Convention in Seven Springs
Today is the day we leave for the PSAHPERD convention in Seven Springs. This will be a great opportunity to meet professionals and network in my major. It should be a fun weekend also. In addition to going to presentations and learning new things, we have the option to go tubing Friday night. I'm excited to get through the rest of my classes today and get everything ready to go. I'll be sure to post about my experience at the convention. Check out the website below to learn more about it!

Running Outside In The Cold
This morning, my first class of the day was cancelled so I decided to do my run outside for the first time. I decided to run the back roads around my house instead of on the treadmill in my basement. I knew it very cold outside so I wanted to make sure I was dressed properly. Nothing would be worse then running outside being freezing or sweating to death. I found a great website that had very useful information in what to wear and how to dress in layers. If you want to know more about what I found I posted the link below. Have fun and be smart about running outside!

Training for Pittsburgh Marathon Relay
Last week I officially signed up for my first ever Pittsburgh Marathon Relay in May 2015. For most this isn't a big deal. For me it's huge. I am not a runner by a long shot. I spent my entire life in the water being a competitive swimmer. I still swim today, but I don't compete as much. I decided it was time for me to challenge myself in a different way. Since swimming is the complete opposite of running, I am going to start training in December. I know this will be a long tough journey but I am up for the challenge. Wish me luck!
